The most luxurious car deal in history happened just recently. Carscoop claimed that the latest world record was set during the sale event of RM Auctions in association with Sotheby’s. They managed to auction a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder for an astounding $10,976,000.
Once owned by actor James Coburn, the almost $11M car was acquired by UK radio personality Chris Evans. With its sleek and silky black style, it is undeniably beautiful and elegant. Nevertheless, the extravagant price made even the vintage car experts’ jaws dropped. It was reported that the initial approximation was more or less half the sale price.
If ever Evans had purchased the UK’s best seller which is the European version of Ford Focus then he could have more than 640 of those using his $11M.
