Wikipedia describes police cars as not only providing police officers transportation to reach crime scenes quickly but also to patrol area where trouble is suspected as well as provide high visibility deterrent to crime. Equipped with a radio communication system, a PC for online access to check on identifications and license plates of suspects (and chat on their break time) cameras and DVR surveillance systems to record the activities in front of a police car particularly when arrests are made. Recordings of these arrests could support claims of manhandling and police brutality as well as police being attacked on by hostile suspects.
