Owning a Car is Getting More Expensive
It’s not just the price of gas but the whole thing about driving a car is getting more and more expensive. A travel agency estimates the average price of managing and operating a car in 2008 will be $298 more than $7,823 the previous year. Gasoline still answers for 30 percent of the cost while depreciation and insurance come in subsequently.
Moreover, the prices for repairs and maintenance are also on the increase as they account for below 10 percent of a vehicle’s cost. Many customers now are going for the most basic repairs to save for a more expensive work just in case. Moreover, most Americans have started bargaining and haggling over auto repairs, electronics, and appliances. Even the parking rates are getting higher.
