My First Car
I had my first car when I was eighteen. I would have gotten it earlier if I had only passed the driver’s exam the first time I took it. I didn’t care much about appearances. For as long as the ride can serve its purpose, then it’s fine by me.
All my money could afford was a Volkswagen that had obviously seen better days. Nevertheless, I was contented. With satisfaction, I drove myself to and from my workplace. On a number of occasions, I even picked up my little brother from school – I was still living in the family home then.
Now that I’m older, my opinion about cars is more or less unchanged. I go for models that are not only fuel-efficient but also environment friendly. Because of that, I went out and bought myself a hybrid. I plan to purchase another hybrid car for my daughter too. She’ll be turning eighteen next month.

I would love to have one of these. Dress it up a little, a few revisions here and there.

Mine was the Beetle too. It stayed with me through college and even during the first few months working with an advertising company. I have fond memories of my blue bug.
